Results in from Remenham and Wargrave

Posted by davidburbage on July 24, 2011

Success in Thursday’s by-election in Remenham and Wargrave – against the common national trend, we increased our vote by a percentage point. The LibDems went backwards and John Halsall is now the new councillor on Wokingham Borough.

Well done to all those who helped keep the seat solidly blue!

Unveiling the Irish Guards Statue

Posted by davidburbage on July 3, 2011

Pleasant lunchtime spent last week at the unveiling of the Irish Guards Statue.

The back of the head of the chap in the bottom right corner of the photo is Col Mike “I’m not going to start the Third World War for you” Jackson who was there to see the unveiling of the bronze.

It can be seen at the entrance to Park Street, in Windsor. Adds to the town, and values the enormous contribution the troops make to keeping our country safe.

Why Ed Miliband isn’t very good

Posted by davidburbage on July 1, 2011

If he has no views beyond parroting a prepared statement, why is he pretending that he can inspire and run the country??
